1st grade students learned about David Hockney's colorful landscapes. We discussed Hockney's style and his current work as well. They then painted paper to collage together for their own landscape. Each student mixed different values of blue to create their blue sky background and created colorful textured land. Finally, after creating small houses for their scene they collaged all their pieces together to make their own original Hockney inspired landscape. Click here to see more student work.
