About the Monroe Art Program
The district 181 art curriculum was created to foster student's artistic skills and creativity. Through art class students will learn to express themselves in a non-verbal manner while developing problem solving skills and collaborating with their fellow classmates. Through their years at Monroe students will be exposed to the art produced by artists from variety of countries, cultures, and time periods and well as artistic careers and creative technologies. Most importantly art class is a place for students to feel confident, comfortable and most importantly have fun.
