- 4th grade students used Alberto Giacometti’s elongated metal sculptures as inspiration for this project.
- Each student sketched out a pose that was meaningful to them or their family.
- To create the sculpture they bent wire into their pose and secured their figure with paper mache and paint.

Inspired by artist Henri Rousseau, students created a jungle scene with an animal of their choice. Students chose an animal and followed a directed drawing on the iPads. Then they created a background using watercolor pencils and markers. Finally, they collaged jungle leaves on top to disguise their animal like Rousseau does in his paintings, shown below.
