Students learned about the artist Henri Matisse, specifically his painting The Goldfish. Each student created a room of their choice making sure to include bright colors and patterns, reflecting Matisse's style. Finally, each student added a fish bowl or tank and used the iPads to animate a fish swimming inside. Click the links under each child's fishbowl to see their animation. (coming soon)

In Kindergarten we discussed printmaking and the different ways we have created prints so far this year. Then we learned a little about bees and how they work together to create a hive and honey. Students used bubble wrap to create the beehive print then the resist watercolor technique to make the bees.

Fifth-grade students studied caricature artists and the history of caricatures. Students then used the Sketchbook app to draw themselves as a caricature. Finally, using an animation app students put their bodies and heads together to create a bobble head. If students had the time they added a background to their work.
